Description:

PRIVATE STRUCTURE (lease only). Situated in a panoramic position in what is considered the pearl of the coast, Villa Talamo is a property which transmits the charm of past. Dating back to 1600, the interiors of the villa have been restored less than 10 years ago. The interiors are furnished with wooden furniture that blends in well with the bright colours that convey freshness to the house. The property allows its guests to enjoy the beauty of the coast without sacrificing comfort. The villa is characterized by the breathtaking views that can be admired from its terrace. Its central position on one hand allows guests to have a 180° view over all of Positano and the other to reach the “Grande Spiaggia” and the main square (piazza principale) in only a few minutes. Another important element of comfort for guests is the presence of private parking, a very rare feature in Positano.

VILLA TALAMO HAS BEEN SUBJECTED TO A CHECK-UP BY A TECHNICAL RESPONSIBLE BEFORE THE BEGINNING OF THE SEASON, TO ENSURE CONSISTENCY OF THE DESCRIPTION, ACCESSORIES LISTED ON THIS PAGE AND THEIR PRESENT STATE OF OPERATION/MAINTENANCE, TO GUARANTEE QUALITY, CLEANLINESS AND COMFORTS TO ALL CLIENTS WHO WILL STAY HERE.

Interior:

Villa Talamo is composed by two apartments on two different floors with independent access: TALAMO A: The main entrance is reachable directly from the private parking via 70 steps. The entrance leads into the living room with a large window and direct access to the large panoramic terrace. The house is composed of: dining room, kitchen, a twin bedroom with joinable beds and a double bedroom both with direct access to the terrace, a bathroom with shower and two bathrooms with bath tub. TALAMO B: The villa is only on one level and the main entrance is reachable directly from the private parking via 46 steps. The house is composed of living room with direct access to the panoramic terrace, a double bedroom and a twin bedroom wih joinable beds each with a private balcony with overlooking views of Positano, also on this floor is the kitchen equipped with dining table, a bathroom with shower and a bathroom with bath tub.

Park:

Each villa has at its disposal a private terrace, each with direct access from the living room. This is the best place to appreciate the beautiful scenery of Positano whilst sipping a glass of wine enjoying the sunset that falls into the coast. The terrace is equipped with table, chairs, deck chairs and umbrella. Please notice that photos are taken in spring, therefore flower blossoming, and the colours of the gardens' grass could be different at the moment of your arrival at the villa.

Location and distances


Situated in the centre of Positano 10/15 min. far from the main attractions and shops. The property is reachable from the private parking area of the house, which is along the main road, through 70 steps. At about 200 metres there is the urban bus stop. Positano has no need to be present, it is enough to say that from this location it is possible to visit al the Amalfi coastline and al the famouse islands like Capri Ischia.

Belinda from Emma Villas was the star of our trip. When we had issues with AC, she bought a fan over and then worked with us to get AC working. Good thing because this was a recurring issue our whole trip with AC constantly turning off

Giovanni Talamo is a lovely kind man. He is proud to have the Villa in his family for 600 years. The terraces, views and location were all fabulous. Our favorite rooms were the primary living room and Master bedroom.

I loved the outdoor patio with the sun lounges and dining table. We spent many late afternoons enjoying the fabulous view and sunsets I also loved the spaciousness of the villa, The high ceilings and lovely wood french doors leading from the rooms onto the patio were also a huge plus.

It's a beautiful villa with a spectacular view......for two couples it was perfect. The stair climb to get to it, although cumbersome, was probably good exercise for us. We have stayed at this villa previously, and hopefully we wil be able to again.

The view from the terrace is fantastic; great view of the bay of Naples, Positano and the mountain view of Montepertuso. Great is the terrace surrounded by orange tree and an Itallian oven for an evening meal there. Essentially, the most convenient aspect of the villa is the private parking for 3 cars. If you do drive there and essentially you need a car to get around to the nearby towns, it is an asset in this narrow space constraint street of Positano.
Do you have any suggestions to improve the property?
As good as it gets for that rustic Itallian villa feel.

The view and the comfort were the highpoints. Having four bathrooms was a plus, as well as having two kitchens. The location was really quite private considering we were in the middle of the city. The owner was delightful and we enjoyed eating at his restaurant, complete with singing waiters.

We thought that the dinner was quite expensive for the food which was served. The service and cooking was excellent, however. Apparently he had other bookings and had to re-arrange his schedule.

The property provided a nice view of Positano. It was also easy to get food from the store not far from the Villa. Bus and boats were also not far the Villa. The differents appartments were also large enough for us. The access to 2 patios was also appreciated; it permit to eat most of the time outside. The honor was also very kind with us. He respond rapidly when we call him. Lots of nice flowers outside the Villa. Globally, I was a pleasant site to rent.

The owner, Giovanni Talamo, was a great host. He picked us up and drove us to his restaurant for dinner 2 nights. Regrading the house, it offered a spectacular view of Positano. We enjoyed many star-light evenings on the terrace. Great place for aerobic exercise (be prepared of MANY, MANY steps -- 70 from the parking area to the house, 90 to the street below, and about 200 to the beach (not counting the many significant sloping walkways).
Do you have any suggestions to improve the property?
Emma Villas advertises that all properties have a pool. This did not. That should be noted in the listing. Should have a few more accessories for serving meals cooked at home (bowls particularly), more wine glasses. Matress quality overall (in the 3 villas we rented) was not what we would have hoped for.

No, the owner was very friendly. He owns an outstanding restaurant in the area (wwe went there 3 times during our vacation). He picke us up and dropped us off in his own car each night.

WEEKLY RENTALS:
The standard typology is the one that foresees the regular Saturday- Saturday stay. In this case it is possible to send a request or to directly book online.

SHORT STAYS and NON-WEEKLY STAYS:
For some periods it is possible to make shorter stays STARTING FROM 5 NIGHTS (periods highlighted in grey on the calendar). For some properties it is possible to book online, for other properties it is possible to send a booking request, which will be subject to acceptance by Emma Villas. One of our booking operators will answer the clients within 24 hours.

WEEKLY RENTALS NON SAT - SAT STAYS:
Exclusively for the periods marked in grey on the calendar, it will be possible to book different periods, rather than the regular Saturday - Saturday (for instance: check-in Wednesday - Check-out Wednesday). Also in this case, for some properties it is possible to book online, for other properties it is possible to send a booking request, which will be subject to acceptance by Emma Villas within 24 hours.

The booking requests for one week stay during July and August are subject to approval.

STAY CANCELLATION GUARANTEE DUE TO LOCKDOWN - by Emma Villas (Included in the price) The final price of the reservation includes also the special coverage, guaranteed by Emma Villas, in the event that you are forced to cancel your stay in the 30 days prior to the scheduled check-in date, due to the occurrence of at least one of the following Covid-19 epidemic containment measures officially imposed by the competent authorities:
  • national lockdown in Italy;
  • local lockdown in Italy regarding the area in which the booked villa is located ("red" area or impossible to reach due to official restrictions on free circulation);
  • national lockdown in your country of residence;
  • Italian local lockdown in the Client's Municipality or area of residence..

HEALTH ASSISTANCE INSURANCE POLICY - by EuropAssistance (Optional) +1,5% of the rental price Not only cancellation policies, but also protection during your stay. You can choose to purchase this policy in the event you should, for the duration of your stay, want coverage for:
  • Healthcare with Operations Centre 24/7;
  • Vehicle Assistance to and from the place of stay and for the entire duration of your holiday; (zona "rossa" o impossibile da raggiungere a causa di restrizioni ufficiali alla libera circolazione);
  • Healthcare for family members left at home;

The benefits of this guarantee are: you do not pay the security deposit on arrival: neither in cash nor by immobilising a substantial amount on your credit card limit;
