Casale Palombieri lies in a green valley between two light-coloured stone promontories, surrounded by the colours of lush Mediterranean vegetation, in a property that extends for about eleven hectares. The complex consists of two exposed-stone structures: the main villa, fully air-conditioned, with five bedrooms with ensuite bathroom and a bright living area with direct access out to the furnished patio, and an independent annex located at a lower level with a bedroom with bathroom and a further living area with open-plan kitchen and dining room. For outdoor dining you can opt for the large set-up space under the pergola with barbecue and completed by a comfortable sitting area. Casale Palombieri stands in a privileged position, amidst numerous centres of great historical, archaeological and naturalistic interest and just a short distance by car from the most beautiful beaches of crystal-clear water and fine sand in Sicily, Pozzallo and Santa Maria del Focallo. Not to be missed is a visit to the Baroque towns of the Val di Noto, as well as to Noto, Scicli, Modica and Ragusa, Syracuse and Ortigia, or to the Cave d'Ispica, a river valley of light-coloured rock with remains of prehistoric settlements or, again, to the Vendicari Nature Reserve with its long beaches of fine sand and marshes where, among other things, flamingos and herons migrate, with unique flora and fauna and historical relics such as the Swabian Tower, a 15th century fortified tower, and those of the Greek city of Eloro.

Interior:

Casale Palombieri consists of two separate structures. The MAIN VILLA has two floors connected by an internal staircase. On the ground floor, a single room is composed of the sitting areas with fireplace, dining area and kitchen (connected to a pantry space and laundry). A second sitting room acts as a junction between the staircase leading to the upper floor and two double bedrooms with en-suite bathroom (one with shower and one with tub and shower), one of which with direct access to the outdoor relaxation area with pool view. On the upper floor are a further three double bedrooms with en-suite bathroom, two with shower and one with tub and shower. ANNEX. A short distance from the main villa, it consists of an open-plan area with kitchen, sitting room and dining area, a double bedroom and a bathroom with shower.

Park:

The park extends over eleven hectares in a valley between two spectacular promontories of light-coloured stone. Surrounding the two structures is the lawn dotted with various plants, aromatic herbs and citrus trees, an inviting area for walks and trekking along the walkways within the grounds that include wonderful areas to discover such as prehistoric caves and steps carved in the rocks. There is also a charming pond. Near the kitchen French window is the terrace shaded by a pergola equipped with a large dining table for 14 people and a lounge area with sofas and armchairs. From the automatic entrance gate a private road of about 200 m leads to the covered parking for 5 cars, approx 30 m from the front door of to the villa. Please notice that photos are taken in spring, therefore flower blossoming, and the colours of the gardens' grass could be different at the moment of your arrival at the villa.

Swimming Pool:

The pool area is located at a slightly lower level than the ground floor which is about 20 m away and is accessed from the lawn on which are set stone slabs. The pool area is surrounded by lawn and bordered by local stone slabs on which sunbeds and umbrellas have been placed. The egg-shaped swimming pool, painted on the inside, measures approximately 13 x 7 m with the depth varying from 1,40 to 2,40 m; it has salt and chlorine purification and internal steps for access to the water. Near the swimming pool is an outdoor, cold-water shower. The pool is open from the last Saturday of April to the first Saturday of October.

Casale Palombieri is located in the area of Ispica and is ideal for exploring the deep southeast of Sicily, in an area of great architectural charm: we are, in fact, within a radius of 20 km and 40 km is the triangle of Noto, Modica, Ragusa, towns renowned for their Baroque structure, and 11 km from the centre of Rosolini, where supermarkets, numerous bars and restaurants are to be found. The Cava d'Ispica Nature Reserve extends along a spectacular valley between Ispica and Modica with settlements uninterrupted from the Bronze Age to the 14th century and which contains prehistoric necropolises and catacombs as well as the characteristic flora and fauna of the area - definitely an unmissable destination for fans of archeology and nature. The Vendicari Nature Reserve has long beaches of fine sand and the Cavagrande Reserve is a spectacular set of waterfalls and natural ponds. 30 km away is the old fishing borgo of Marzamemi with a majestic tuna fishery, an enchanting square and a myriad of excellent restaurants. Syracuse, less than an hour's drive away, will offer guests an extraordinary day, spoilt for choice between shops, bars, restaurants, churches, museums and art galleries, as well as being one of the most important archaeological sites in Sicily. Just 30 km away is the southernmost point of Sicilia, Porto Palo di Capo Passero, located on the same line as the African coast, with wonderful beaches and little fresh fish restaurants. Pozzallo, with a marina as well as long beaches, is 20 km away.

What suggestions do you have to improve the property?
Our only suggestion is to provide better instructions to find the house. The link provided did not work and we were directed to a route that was 30-40 minutes away from the property. Make it clear that we are 20 minutes away from civilization. But it is very private and beautiful and we appreciated the hiking around the property. Most of all we loved the dog Lulu who came with the house. She joined us every day and is the BEST dog ever. WE loved the bathrooms that came with every room and
