Description:

RECEPTIVE STRUCTURE. Originally an old farmhouse, Villa Arbeio has been completely renovated, choosing natural materials such as wood and stone. The two-storey building covers about 600 sq m with a nice large living area on the ground floor with fireplace, billiard table and bar. The strong points of Villa Arbeio are the tranquillity of the place and the privacy of the park, about 3 hectares, which is mainly planted with lawn. In the part surrounding the house are many relaxation areas: a fountain with pool, two porticos and a dining area with pergola where you can spend many companiable hours. Thanks to its location, surrounded by nature but close to the Cinque Terre, it is ideal for those seeking a holiday in total privacy and relaxation and for those who love nature which is here untouched.

VILLA ARBEIO HAS BEEN SUBJECTED TO A CHECK-UP BY A TECHNICAL RESPONSIBLE BEFORE THE BEGINNING OF THE SEASON, TO ENSURE CONSISTENCY OF THE DESCRIPTION, ACCESSORIES LISTED ON THIS PAGE AND THEIR PRESENT STATE OF OPERATION/MAINTENANCE, TO GUARANTEE QUALITY, CLEANLINESS AND COMFORTS TO ALL CLIENTS WHO WILL STAY HERE.

Interior:

The villa has 2 floors. The main entrance on the ground floor opens into the large open-plan living area composed of sitting room, dining room, billiard table and bar: a well-lit area with several exits to the park outside. On the far side of the main entrance is the wood oven and professional kitchen with exit out to a portico. From this open-plan area, two steps lead up to a further sitting room where guests can read or chat around the fireplace, next to an atrium with two toilets and a secondary entrance opening out to the portico with the laundry at the far end. From this second sitting room a wooden staircase leads up to the first floor into a hallway opening out onto a panoramic terrace from where a stone staircase leads down to the garden in front of the villa. From the hallway you go to the sleeping area composed of 3 apartments. The first and second apartments are similar, consisting of a large bedroom with sitting area and fridge, a bathroom with shower and a loft with a further double bed. The first apartment has a French window with access to the pool solarium area. The third apartment is the largest and has a living room with French window leading out to the pool, a double bedroom with extra double sofa bed, a bathroom with shower serving both the bedroom and the living room and a further double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower. This bedroom has a French window leading out to the pool.

Park:

The property in total is about 3 hectares. The part of the park around the villa is about 1000 sq m, consisting mainly of lawn with fruit trees. At the entrance is a large convenient parking area. In front of the house is a portico and a dining area covered by a pergola while at the back is the pool with solarium area, ping-pong table and table football as well as a further pergola with table and benches. Please notice that photos are taken in spring, therefore flower blossoming, and the colours of the gardens' grass could be different at the moment of your arrival at the villa.

Swimming Pool:

The pool, about 5 m away at the back of the villa, is easily accessible from two of the first floor bedrooms. Rectangular-shaped, it measures 4 x 10 m with a varying depth of 1,40 to 1,60 m; it is lined in blue material, has chlorine purification and is accessible by ladder. It is heated so that it can be used when the weather is colder. The solarium area, partly paved and partly lawn, is equipped with sunbeds and deckchairs. The pool is open from the last Saturday in April to the first Saturday of October.

The little hillside village of Scurtabò is an agrarian centre located along the road that leads from Varese to the Bocco pass. In recent years, many festivals have been held during the summer to boost the local products and to attract the many fans of "good food in the midst of nature." Scurtabò is located in the green Val di Vara, known as the Valle del Biologico (Organic Valley) behind the Cinque Terre, in an area between Liguria, Emilia and Tuscany of extraordinary natural, environmental and cultural importance, far from urban contamination but, at the same time, very easy to get to. Seven km from Scurtabò is Varese Ligure, a medieval borgo which is part of the circuit of the most beautiful villages in Italy, with shops and services. 35 km away is the coast of the Cinque Terre with its fantastic sea. Varese Ligure is served by buses providing links with Sestri Levante and La Spezia. Ridgeways and other routes; Varese Ligure (6 km), medieval borgo with shops and services; Cinqueterre (35 km); fishing (trout).

The setting, the views were spectacular. The pool was great. The downstairs space airy and comfortable. Lorenzo was a great owner/host. He has created a beautiful place there in the Ligurian Hills. I am sure we will return again someday.

A very nice and well kept property and very nice surrounding. There was plenty of room for a large family. The owners of the property are very helpful and did everything they could to make our stay pleasant.

The standard typology is the one that foresees the regular Saturday- Saturday stay. In this case it is possible to send a request or to directly book online.

SHORT STAYS and NON-WEEKLY STAYS:
For some periods it is possible to make shorter stays STARTING FROM 5 NIGHTS (periods highlighted in grey on the calendar). For some properties it is possible to book online, for other properties it is possible to send a booking request, which will be subject to acceptance by Emma Villas. One of our booking operators will answer the clients within 24 hours.

WEEKLY RENTALS NON SAT - SAT STAYS:
Exclusively for the periods marked in grey on the calendar, it will be possible to book different periods, rather than the regular Saturday - Saturday (for instance: check-in Wednesday - Check-out Wednesday). Also in this case, for some properties it is possible to book online, for other properties it is possible to send a booking request, which will be subject to acceptance by Emma Villas within 24 hours.

The booking requests for one week stay during July and August are subject to approval.
