Villa Angelini is an old mansion in the historical centre of the medieval town of Vescovado di Murlo, situated on a hill 300 m above sea level. From the back of the villa, overlooking the Ombrone valley and the hill of Montalcino, you will enjoy a magnificent view. The house is on three storeys. The present living room has been renovated from the space originally used as a granary, retaining the original terracotta flooring and domed brick ceilings. On the upper floors there are large bedrooms with wooden-beam ceilings and classical furnishing harmonising with the villa's traditional style. Outdoor areas are equipped with wooden tables and big umbrellas to offer the guests the opportunity to enjoy pleasant breakfasts and dinners “al fresco.” The swimming pool, surrounded by olive trees, is a few metres from the house and enjoys an enchanting view on the valley. Villa Angelini is the ideal place to spend a quiet holiday, but also to take relaxing evening strolls into the small town of Vescovado . It's especially well positioned to allow day-trips to the many cultural and artistic centres nearby: the medieval town of Siena, Florence, and also the renowned towns of San Quirico d'Orcia and Pienza. If you are interested in good wine, you can't miss visiting the celebrated wineries of Montalcino and of the Chianti district, and if you like taking care of your physical well-being you will certainly enjoy a visit to the Roman watering place of Bagno Vignoni or to the newer thermal centre of Rapolano Terme. Please Note: when the property is rented in this solution no other guests will be present on site.

Interior:

From the main entrance you will get to a long corridor. On the right you'll find the stairs leading to the first floor, on the left you'll find the old bread oven, now used as a play room with table tennis. At the end of the corridor there are three service bathrooms and the laundry room on one side, and a large professional kitchen and the bar area on the other side. On the same floor you'll find the dining room with a fireplace and the living room with sofas and TV. All these rooms have got large windows giving into the garden. Through the entry stairway you go up to the first floor that you can also access by the villa original main door. On the right you'll find a twin room with shower bathroom en-suite and a double room with tub bathroom en-suite. On the left, there is the twin room with shower bathroom en-suite and the “old kitchen” with the characteristic Tuscan fireplace. Through a large travertine stairway you'll reach the second floor and a small parlour accessing two double rooms with bathrooms en-suite. On the same floor there are two other double rooms with bathrooms en-suite.

Park:

The park surface measures about 6500 m². The area in front of the villa is both a stone pavement and lawn equipped with a large canopy, wooden tables, beach umbrellas and a big barbecue. A few steps lead into the garden with stone paths, lawn, shrubs and olive trees. Please notice that photos are taken in spring, therefore flower blossoming, and the colours of the gardens' grass could be different at the moment of your arrival at the villa.

Swimming Pool:

The fenced-in swimming pool is situated about 70 m from the villa and measures 12 x 6 m, with a max depth of 2,50 m. The pool area is floored with Tuscan travertine and surrounded by olive trees and equipped with beds, chairs, wooden tables, beach umbrellas, and an external shower. The swimming pool opens from the last Saturday of April to the first Saturday in October.

Location and distances


Special property located at walking distance from the Village of Vescovado di Murlo. Immersed in the particular area called Crete Senesi located in the south part of Siena Province: Asciano, Buonconvento, Monteroni d'Arbia, Rapolano Terme e San Giovanni d'Asso are part of these nice areas where the particular ‘Calanchi’ or ‘Biancane’ make the Surrounding of one of the most unique and interesting sceneries of Tuscany. The Villa in the center of the village will allowed you pleasant stay not far from all the nice place in Tuscany, Monteroni d’Arbia is at 8 Km (bus stop nearby the villa - 100 m away- to get to the town) and from there you can get a bus to reach Siena (20 km away). With nice daily trip and excursion also the beautiful places like Montalcino, Monte Oliveto Maggiore, can be reached to enjoy the beauty of this Country. Furthermore the exit A1 Valdichiana is at about 48 km and this will allow you to easily visit the main cities. The nearest train station is in Monteroni d’Arbia at 8 km from the villa.

The property is excellent and the people (Maria, Sabrina and Lia) the best. Great property!! I would suggest information on the surrounding areas. For example, in Vescovado a pizza shop, restaurant in the hotel, coffee shop, bottega in town. Then, grocery stores in nearby towns and restaurants in nearby towns may help folks get their feet on the ground sooner.

Once we had decided to make our trip, for all the family, just before Covid in 2020, we discovered the Emma Villa website. It was reasonably straight forward to book. Any questions we had were answered quickly. Everyone of the Emma Villa team, were at hand if needed.

This villa is the first one we rented with Emma Villas for our family reunion. It is perfectly located with so much places to visit in Tuscany and we were so happy with our choice. The setting and view, the character of the house, the pool, meals on the terrace under the awning, the large kitchen. I liked the antique furniture, the pictures, the flowers and other homely touches. We also liked being in the nice village of Vescovado. The key holder Maria was delightful, and extremely helpful. We loved the privacy of our rooms with ensuite bathrooms. The professional kitchen was wonderful especially for our cooking class. The villa should have a wireless Internet network available. The only Internet option was a USB key which does not work with iPads/smartphones. The dishwasher in the unit did not really clean the dishes. Otherwise the villa was 'as advertised'.

Dominick is now 82 years old. If he were twenty years younger, we would definitely be interested in owning a villa in Italy.

Villa Angelini is an old mansion in the historical centre of the medieval town of Vescovado di Murlo, situated on a hill 300 m above sea level. From the back of the villa, overlooking the Ombrone valley and the hill of Montalcino, you will enjoy a magnificent view. The house is on three storeys. The present living room has been renovated from the space originally used as a granary, retaining the original terracotta flooring and domed brick ceilings. On the upper floors there are large bedrooms with wooden-beam ceilings and classical furnishing harmonising with the villa's traditional style. Outdoor areas are equipped with wooden tables and big umbrellas to offer the guests the opportunity to enjoy pleasant breakfasts and dinners “al fresco.” The swimming pool, surrounded by olive trees, is a few metres from the house and enjoys an enchanting view on the valley. Villa Angelini is the ideal place to spend a quiet holiday, but also to take relaxing evening strolls into the small town of Vescovado . It's especially well positioned to allow day-trips to the many cultural and artistic centres nearby: the medieval town of Siena, Florence, and also the renowned towns of San Quirico d'Orcia and Pienza. If you are interested in good wine, you can't miss visiting the celebrated wineries of Montalcino and of the Chianti district, and if you like taking care of your physical well-being you will certainly enjoy a visit to the Roman watering place of Bagno Vignoni or to the newer thermal centre of Rapolano Terme. Please Note: when the property is rented in this solution no other guests will be present on site.

Interior:

From the main entrance you will get to a long corridor. On the right you'll find the stairs leading to the first floor, on the left you'll find the old bread oven, now used as a play room with table tennis. At the end of the corridor there are three service bathrooms and the laundry room on one side, and a large professional kitchen and the bar area on the other side. On the same floor you'll find the dining room with a fireplace and the living room with sofas and TV. All these rooms have got large windows giving into the garden. Through the entry stairway you go up to the first floor that you can also access by the villa original main door. On the right you'll find a twin room with shower bathroom en-suite and a double room with tub bathroom en-suite. On the left, there is the twin room with shower bathroom en-suite and the “old kitchen” with the characteristic Tuscan fireplace. Through a large travertine stairway you'll reach the second floor and a small parlour accessing two double rooms with bathrooms en-suite. On the same floor there are two other double rooms with bathrooms en-suite.

Park:

The park surface measures about 6500 m². The area in front of the villa is both a stone pavement and lawn equipped with a large canopy, wooden tables, beach umbrellas and a big barbecue. A few steps lead into the garden with stone paths, lawn, shrubs and olive trees. Please notice that photos are taken in spring, therefore flower blossoming, and the colours of the gardens' grass could be different at the moment of your arrival at the villa.

Swimming Pool:

The fenced-in swimming pool is situated about 70 m from the villa and measures 12 x 6 m, with a max depth of 2,50 m. The pool area is floored with Tuscan travertine and surrounded by olive trees and equipped with beds, chairs, wooden tables, beach umbrellas, and an external shower. The swimming pool opens from the last Saturday of April to the first Saturday in October.

Special property located at walking distance from the Village of Vescovado di Murlo. Immersed in the particular area called Crete Senesi located in the south part of Siena Province: Asciano, Buonconvento, Monteroni d'Arbia, Rapolano Terme e San Giovanni d'Asso are part of these nice areas where the particular ‘Calanchi’ or ‘Biancane’ make the Surrounding of one of the most unique and interesting sceneries of Tuscany. The Villa in the center of the village will allowed you pleasant stay not far from all the nice place in Tuscany, Monteroni d’Arbia is at 8 Km (bus stop nearby the villa - 100 m away- to get to the town) and from there you can get a bus to reach Siena (20 km away). With nice daily trip and excursion also the beautiful places like Montalcino, Monte Oliveto Maggiore, can be reached to enjoy the beauty of this Country. Furthermore the exit A1 Valdichiana is at about 48 km and this will allow you to easily visit the main cities. The nearest train station is in Monteroni d’Arbia at 8 km from the villa.

The property is excellent and the people (Maria, Sabrina and Lia) the best. Great property!! I would suggest information on the surrounding areas. For example, in Vescovado a pizza shop, restaurant in the hotel, coffee shop, bottega in town. Then, grocery stores in nearby towns and restaurants in nearby towns may help folks get their feet on the ground sooner.

Location was great - being in a village was a bonus and we enjoyed the local shops and restaurants. Pool area was superb and it was great to have ensuite bathrooms with every room. As we were a party of 14 with three children it was nice that there was plenty of room both inside and outside the villa.

The setting and view, the character of the house, the pool, meals on the terrace under the awning, the large kitchen. I liked the antique furniture, the pictures, the flowers and other homely touches. We also liked being in the nice village of Vescovado. The key holder Maria was delightful, and extremely helpful. We had a wonderful family holiday in this beautiful villa.

We loved the privacy of our rooms with ensuite bathrooms. The professional kitchen was wonderful especially for our cooking class. Common spaces gave us great areas to gather and enjoy each others company, and plenty of places to escape for quiet and privacy. All 10 of us agreed that the property exceeded our expectations. Not really. It more than exceeded our expectations. We had rented a villa the week before in Lenno on Lake Como. We enjoyed that experience as well, but we felt that the experience at Villa Angelini far exceeded that experience in terms of services provided and general care of the rental.

The villa should have a wireless Internet network available. The only Internet option was a USB key which does not work with iPads/smartphones. The dishwasher in the unit did not really clean the dishes. Otherwise the villa was 'as advertised'.

The villa was lovely but the interior common rooms were not very inviting to sit or gather in. Excellent villa in a unique setting at the edge of a very nice village.

Dominick is now 82 years old. If he were twenty years younger, we would definitely be interested in owning a villa in Italy.
What suggestions do you have to improve the property?
Some of the lights were not working in several rooms. It took almost three days before they were fixed. Perhaps they could have been tested and fixed before we arrived. Also, we were not able to use the oven in the kitchen; even Maria couldn't make it work.

The quality of Emma Villas services is outstanding due to the efforts of your administrative staff--Francesca and Lucca. Also, Maria Perrotta did a wonderful job of caring for our comforts in Villa Angelini.
