Description:
PRIVATE STRUCTURE (Lease only). In Valsesia, at the foot of the Monte Rosa massif, the meticulous renovation of a 19th century barn has given life to this wonderful chalet which, while preserving the peculiarities and charm of the old Walser-style buildings, today offers all the modern comforts necessary for a relaxing holiday, immersed in the nature of a mountain environment of extraordinary beauty. The part of the chalet available is the one on the ground floor (the first floor is not inhabited and belongs to a different owner) with an adjoining garage next to the main entrance and directly in front of the 800 sqm of garden, sunny from morning to evening, with the 700 sqm of woodland behind the house, all part of the property and for exclusive use. Meals can be consumed in the beautiful furnished patio surrounding the chalet, on the hottest days the garden shower provides refreshment and the barbecue is the inevitable tool for cheerful grilling in good company. Wood and exposed stone are the characteristic and predominant elements, both outside and inside, the furnishings are well-cared for, and the large windows offer enchanting views. Flowing near the property is the river Sesia, a true legend in the world of whitewater sports in Europe. With its rapids, waterfalls and sparkling waters, the Sesia has become a paradise for adventurers seeking an adrenaline-filled, yet authentic, experience. The thrill of a descent down its rippling waters is unparalleled and the breathtaking panorama of Monte Rosa surrounding the river adds a spectacular backdrop to this unique adventure. In winter, a few minutes by car will take you to the ski lifts from Alagna to Gressoney and Champoluc, while in other seasons, in addition to the numerous trekking routes, rafting and kayaking are frequently practiced and the Sorba stream is the perfect setting for canyoning. Chalet Walser is the ideal destination for a holiday dedicated to freedom and activities in contact with nature in an area rich in history and traditions where, of course, typical gastronomic products cannot be missed, in particular toma di alpeggio, a typical cheese of the area, and moccetta, dried cow muscle, a very lean cured meat of ancient origin which derived from the need to preserve the meat for a long time during the winter period. Not to be missed at all a bottle of Gattinara D.O.C.G.
Interior:
All the rooms are located on the ground floor of the chalet. On entering the front door, you come to a large, bright open-plan area consisting of the kitchen, dining area and living room where a large French window leads out to the patio and the garden. The sleeping area is composed of a bathroom with shower, a double bedroom and a bedroom with two bunk beds, both with a French window leading out to the garden.
Park:
Driving along Provincial Road 82, you detour onto a 200 m well-trodden dirt road that leads into the property, up to the garage and parking area, right next to the front door of the chalet. The garden of about 800 sqm surrounding the chalet is mainly flat with a nice lawn and a few birch trees, while at the back a beautiful grove of larches and pines provides berries and mushrooms in the summer season. Deckchairs can be placed at the guests' discretion in the garden or under the patio which is furnished with tables and chairs for outdoor meals, from breakfast to dinner. A hot and cold-water outdoor shower provides refreshment on hot, sunny summer days while a charcoal or wood barbecue is available for cooking outdoors.
