Description:
PRIVATE STRUCTURE Villa I Mori is located in the Val di Noto, in the south-eastern area of Sicily, rich in Baroque architecture and less than half an hour's drive from some of the most beautiful beaches along the coast: from the Bay of Marispica, beloved by kitesurfers, to the Nature Reserve of Vendicari with long stretches of coastline dotted with beaches, some sandy and some rocky, washed by a crystal-clear sea inviting you to take a refreshing dip. The villa, whose name evokes the past dominations of the Moors, who heavily influenced Sicilian art and culture, has been entirely restored with natural stone from Modica and natural stone from Etna. The interior recalls the country style, with furniture handmade by local artisans with local materials. The large living room with beautiful seating area, communicating nicely with the built-in kitchen, was designed to make communication between inside and outside comfortable and smooth. The French windows of the living room and kitchen lead out to the porticoed terrace which opens onto the garden, enlivened by numerous fruit trees and flowering shrubs and enhanced by the swimming pool, with adjacent outdoor gym and jacuzzi. Completing the wellness circuit in the garden is a Finnish sauna. The geographical setting of Villa I Mori is rich in suggestions and attractions, full of unmissable stops and artistic-cultural itineraries, with a past that lives on in some of the most renowned towns in the area, such as nearby Modica, Noto, Ragusa and Scicli: towns symbolic of the Val di Noto for their Baroque architecture, food and wine delights and for the Inspector Montalbano TV series that has made them internationally famous.
