IL POGGIARELLINO HAS BEEN SUBJECTED TO A CHECK-UP BY A TECHNICAL RESPONSIBLE BEFORE THE BEGINNING OF THE SEASON, TO ENSURE CONSISTENCY OF THE DESCRIPTION, ACCESSORIES LISTED ON THIS PAGE AND THEIR PRESENT STATE OF OPERATION/MAINTENANCE, TO GUARANTEE QUALITY, CLEANLINESS AND COMFORTS TO ALL CLIENTS WHO WILL STAY HERE.

Interior:

The farmhouse has two floors divided into 4 apartments, comparable to suites, guaranteeing the most exclusive privacy. On the ground floor are three units, the largest (App.1) of which is composed of a living area with TV and ornamental fireplace, kitchen with dining area, a twin bedroom with joinable beds, a double bedroom and two bathrooms with shower. Also on the ground floor, with independent access from the outside, are two suites (App. 2-3) with a small living area, double bedroom and bathroom with shower. An external stone staircase leads up to the first floor with one suite (App. 4) with independent access, consists of a small living area, a double bedroom and a bathroom with shower.

Park:

The park surrounding Il Poggiarellino is embellished with large areas of lawn and bordered by hedges to ensure your privacy, all surrounded by vast expanses of wheat and olive trees that will frame your unforgettable holidays. In the large garden you will be greeted by an explosion of colourful flowers while a corner dedicated to aromatic herbs will be at your disposal for you to create typical dishes of Tuscan cuisine. Within the park are numerous shaded areas, ideal for relaxing in, while under the pergola and on the panoramic terrace you will find comfortable sofas and armchairs. Please notice that photos are taken in spring, therefore flower blossoming, and the colours of the gardens' grass could be different at the moment of your arrival at the villa.

Swimming Pool:

At the disposal of guests looking for refreshment and relaxation is the swimming pool set in the park just a short distance from the house and overlooking a unique panorama. The rectangular pool, measuring 8 x 16 m with the depth ranging from 1.40 to 2.50 m, is lined in sky-blue PVC with a travertine edge and has chlorine purification, internal lighting and Roman steps and iron ladder (in the deepest part) for access to the water. Paved in prophyry slabs, the solarium area is equipped with comfortable sunbeds and umbrellas and there is a cold-water shower. The pool is open from the last Saturday of April until the first Saturday of October.

The town of Volterra and its splendid surroundings represent one of the most diversified and attraction-rich areas in Tuscany. Its indisputable historical tradition combines with a splendid nature, from the morphology made up of gullies, crags and rolling hills to the vegetation and fauna, a truly impressive heritage. Located in the heart of Tuscany, about 40 km from the sea and just a short distance from the most important art cities of the region (Florence, Siena, Pisa, Lucca, San Gimignano), Volterra is a must for any tourist, as well as being the ideal place for relaxing holidays in a highly suggestive landscape; full of museums and splendid historic buildings in its historic centre, the town also offers a rich range of folkloristic events and important cultural events. Il Poggiarellino is located along the ancient wine and oil route, in a very quiet position and surrounded by the typical hilly landscape around Volterra. Less than 10 minutes by car will take you to the restaurants, shops and cafés in the town centre, as well as to a tennis club with a five-a-side football field and to a riding club, while the Castelfalfi Golf Club is about half an hour away. For those wishing to travel by public transport, the bus stop with destination Volterra, Florence and Pisa is located along the main road, about 9 km from the property.

This house was beautiful. It is classically quirky and Tuscan, and the location is incredible. You are conveniently close to everything (grocery store, restaurants, etc.), but far enough away from any many road that you feel truly in the country. We were thrilled with the pool, the air conditioning in every bedroom worked perfectly, and the house was so cozy.

Luca and Antonio were the perfect hosts. They were so welcoming and so kind to us, and treated us like we were guests in their own homes. Everything about the experience was wonderful.
