Casa Maravilla is located in the heart of classic Chianti, perched on a hill 550 m above sea level with some of the most picturesque scenery that nature can offer in the land of Siena and where the absolute protagonist is the green of the Chianti hills, dotted with vines and expanses of olive trees that stretch to the horizon. It is the owners' family home, a stone building with a spacious living room with large windows overlooking the garden. But it is outside, in the green luxuriant park that adorns the house, that it will be nice to relax, under the silent portico, in the outdoor dining or in the wonderful panoramic swimming pool, with the complicity of a fantastic panorama. Set within the tiny medieval borgo of Vagliagli, which is about 500 m away, the house is just a few kilometres away from the wonderful borghi of Radda, Gaiole, Volpaia and Panzano with their breathtaking picture postcard views and a unique range of artistic, historical and delicious food and wine proposals. With daily excursions, facilitated by the beautiful panoramic roads, you can easily reach and visit the cities of Florence, San Gimignano or Volterra. The centre of Siena is about 10 km away.

Interior:

The house is on one floor, reached up a flight of 5 steps. From the portico you come to the main entrance that leads into the living area with lounge, dining room and kitchen (separated by a partition wall). From the living area, two French windows lead out to the panoramic terrace. The floor is completed by a guest bathroom (with washing machine), a double bedroom and a twin bedroom that share a bathroom with shower and a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with tub.

Park:

The house is set within a property of about one hectare, fenced with electro-welded mesh and mostly occupied by the olive grove that stretches from the pool to the valley below. The garden, which is spread over three levels on 1000 sq m di sloping terrain, includes lawn areas and a multitude of fruit trees, bushes of herbs, broom, roses and strawberry trees that form the ideal setting for enjoying the open panoramas offered on every side. Immersed in this corner of colour and privacy are the outdoor dining area, a barbecue area, the portico with seating area and the panoramic swimming pool. The property is accessed through a gate that leads after a few metres to the parking area, in the immediate vicinity of the entrance to the house. Please notice that photos are taken in spring, therefore flower blossoming, and the colours of the gardens' grass could be different at the moment of your arrival at the villa.

Swimming Pool:

The swimming pool, open from the last Saturday in April until the first Saturday in October, is located in an area at the back of the house, overlooking a particularly charming scenario of the vines that surround the property and the Chianti countryside. It is reached from the house via a flight of steps. Trapezoidal in shape and measuring 6 x 12.5 m with the depth varying from 1.20 to 2.50 m, it is lined in PVC and has internal lights, salt purification and submerged steps for access to the water. In the sunbathing area are sunbeds, a pergola and a solar shower.

The historical region of Chianti is located right in the centre of Tuscany, between the cities of Florence to the north, Siena to the south and Arezzo to the east, and is made up of the villages of Castelnuovo Berardenga, Castellina in Chianti, Radda in Chianti and Gaiole in Chianti. This area is a particularly important pole of attraction for the numerous historical testimonies of a past that dates back to the Etruscan era. Furthermore, the prestige that this area had in the Renaissance period is testified by the numerous medieval castles, all perfectly preserved, which can be found along the famous “road of castles”. The Chianti landscape is also well suited for horseback riding in the tranquillity of the vast network of paths and dirt roads that wind through the woods and hills, and also allows the visitor to explore the food and wine riches that characterise this area. The airports of Florence, Pisa and Rome allow easy access to the region, as well as the A1 motorway which, with the exits of Firenze Impruneta and Valdichiana, easily connects the villages of the Chianti area, Radda, Greve, Castellina, Volpaia etc. with the rest of Tuscany. nice, but would prefer a bit more updated kitchen however everything worked very well and liked all the seating places around the house.

I think make a better connection with the kitchen and the backyard/swimming pool. No there is not really one easy way which connects the kitchen and all the outside seating areas. this is something I would personally change, however did not ruin or affected or vacation that much.

nice, but would prefer a bit more updated kitchen however everything worked very well and liked all the seating places around the house.

I think make a better connection with the kitchen and the backyard/swimming pool. No there is not really one easy way which connects the kitchen and all the outside seating areas. this is something I would personally change, however did not ruin or affected or vacation that much.

I just like the professional look of the site and the way the recommendations were put on the site. Also the photos and the well-written description which was included with every villa on the website. Realistic descriptions which accompanied the photos really well.

The benefits of this guarantee are: you do not pay the security deposit on arrival: neither in cash nor by immobilising a substantial amount on your credit card limit;
  • you are protected in the case of eventual damage to the property caused accidentally during your stay (up to the maximum limit of 1500 euro);
